Sandra Bullock Opens Up About the Challenges of Being a White Mom Raising Black Children

Sandra Bullock stuns in a sparkly jumpsuit as she arrives at Neuehouse in Hollywood, Calif. on Tuesday (November 30).

The 57-year-old actress stepped out that night for the premiere of her new film The Unforgiveable, walking the red carpet alongside her co-stars Orlando Lucas, Jon Bernthal, Aisling Franciosi, Will Pullen, Emma Nelson, and Jude Wilson, as well as director Nora Fingscheidt.

Earlier this week, Sandra sat down for an interview on Red Table Talk where she discussed her experience parenting two Black children.

“To say that I wish our skins matched, sometimes I do. Because then it would be easier on how people approach us,” she said in the preview for Wednesday’s episode. “And I have the same feelings as a woman with brown skin being her babies or a white woman with white babies.”

“It’s the mother-child dynamic,” Willow replied. “There is no color.”

“Maybe one day that will go away,” the actress said. “Maybe one day we will be able to see with different eyes.”

Sandra is a mom to her son Louis, 11, and daughter Laila, 8.

Her episode of Red Table Talk will premiere on Wednesday, December 1 at 9am PT / 12pm ET on Facebook Watch.

In case you missed it, Sandra recently revealed one of her hopes for her daughter Laila.
