A PSL-Addict Rates The Best Pumpkin Candles For Fall

In my humble opinion, everyone should refer to fall as Pumpkin Spice Latte Szn. I’m all about that PSL life, which is why I believe everyone needs at least one pumpkin candle in their home. What’s autumn without the sweet scent of pumpkin spice?! That irresistible blend of pumpkin and cinnamon-y goodness sends me to Starbucks basically every day, so if you feel the same, you might as well go all-in and get a candle for days when you’re all latte-d out.

Just think about how cozy your apartment will feel with the perfect pumpkin spice candle lit to ~set the mood~. The fall mood, that is! All you’ll need to do is grab your favorite throw blanket, set up a virtual fire on your computer and turn on the spookiest Halloween movie to enter into a state of autumnal bliss.

Luckily for you, I did the dirty work and looked through Amazon’s best-selling and top-rated candles to find the best pumpkin candles worth ordering backups of. These candles were praised for their burn time and irresistible pumpkin spice scents, so you don’t have to worry about getting sick of the smell or falling in love and having it burn out quicker than the leaves change colors.

Whether or not you actually plan on drinking any pumpkin spiced lattes (personally, I’ve already had more than I’m comfortable admitting), a great pumpkin candle should definitely be on your To-Buy list. Read on for my top three recommendations, from a holiday classic to the ultimate bougie candle to a pumpkin chai pick that’s under $20.

Fair warning, though: if you do start craving PSLs, I can’t be held responsible.

Our mission at STYLECASTER is to bring style to the people, and we only feature products we think you’ll love as much as we do. Please note that if you purchase something by clicking on a link within this story, we may receive a small commission of the sale.

Darrell Hammond, Who Famously Impersonated Sean Connery In ‘SNL’ Sketches, Pays Tribute To Late Star

Darrell Hammond is paying tribute to the late Sean Connery, who passed away at age 90.

One of Hammond’s most notable impressions during his years in the cast of “Saturday Night Live” was of Connery, although the impression had little connection with reality.

While Hammond nailed Connery’s distinctive accent and mannerisms, the surreal “SNL” version appeared solely in “Celebrity Jeopardy!” sketches in which Connery could care less about correctly answering questions but took perverse delight in tormenting and insulting host Alex Trebek (Will Ferrell).

RELATED: Legendary James Bond Actor Sir Sean Connery Dies At 90

On Saturday, Hammond shared a clip of one of the “Celebrity Jeopardy!” sketches on Twitter, along with sending his condolences to the late actor’s family.

“Always loved doing my silly impressions of him,” Hammond wrote.

Following news of Connery’s passing, Hammond spoke with Rolling Stone about his out-of-left-field impression, admitting the first time he did the impression he worried that the audience wouldn’t get it.

RELATED: Sean Connery’s Career Defining Roles

“I remember thinking to myself, ‘They’re not gonna understand this premise. They’re not going to agree with it. It makes no sense that Sean Connery doesn’t know the answers on “Jeopardy!” It makes no sense that Sean Connery hates Alex Trebek. And it makes no sense that he’s a homophobe.’ He accused Alex Trebek of being — what was it I said to Will Ferrell that night? [Connery voice] ‘Not a fan of the ladies, are you Trebek?’ It doesn’t make any sense. And yet it’s easily the most popular thing I’ve ever done.”

According to Hammond, he understood that Connery enjoyed the impression.

“I heard he was very kind and complimentary to me on ‘The Tonight Show’. I mean, I just feel like I didn’t do anything. You had all these marvelous, Emmy Award-winning writers writing these brilliant lines, and I just had to make sure people heard the words clearly. Because, when you’re doing Sean Connery, people are already interested,” Hammond said, also crediting the “SNL” makeup for helping him pull it off.

This season of Grey's Anatomy might be its final one, according to Ellen Pompeo

Ellen Pompeo has given a candid and in-depth interview about Grey's Anatomy –– and revealed that this season of the show might be the last.

The 50-year-old spoke to Variety about her 17-season stint on the show, which premiered back in 2004. Pompeo, who plays the titular character Meredith Grey, casually dropped a major bomb, saying that she had no official confirmation on when the show would end but: "the truth is, this year could be it".

"This is the last year of my contract right now," she explained. "I don't know that this is the last year? But it could very well could be."

She went on to say that this potential end-date looming so close is inspiring her and the rest of the cast to create the best show possible.

"I'm constantly fighting for the show as a whole to be as good as it can be. Everything is really important to me –– that the show is good, and that all the characters' storylines are good. I care very much about the integrity of the show, and the stories that we tell, and the quality."

This season of Grey's Anatomy will focus around the coronavirus pandemic, showrunner Krista Vernoff has revealed. "There's no way to be a long-running medical show and not do the medical story of our lifetimes," she said.

Pompeo spoke at length about her last 16 years on the show, and spilled some excellent behind-the-scenes intel. She says that as soon as she met Patrick Dempsey for their screen test, she immediately felt the chemistry between them.

Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo in 2005.

"I was like, 'It's got to be this guy. This is the guy.' We had instant chemistry from the minute we met."

She also spoke about how incredibly diverse the Grey's cast is, especially back in 2004 when the show first aired.

Shonda Rhimes, the show's creator "was really making such a political statement already," Pompeo said. "She was hiring a Korean actress as the lead, and Black actresses and Black actors as leads," she explained, referring to Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington.

Grey's Anatomy cast

"And we weren't making a thing about it. We weren't talking about it! Shonda famously said, 'I just saw all types for all roles. And I just cast the best actor for the part.'"

Pompeo rounded out the interview by promising fans that season 17 of Grey's is the best one yet.

"I'm really, really, really excited about this season, and that's all I can say about that. And it's probably going to be one of our best seasons ever. And I know that sounds nuts to say, but it's really true."
