Jameela Jamil Reveals Rumour That Made Her Dislike Jada Pinkett Smith

Jameela Jamil is speaking out about the negative way in which famous women are portrayed by the media.

While appearing on Friday’s episode of “Red Table Talk“, the British actress used host Jada Pinkett Smith as an example of a female celebrity who has been a victim of disparaging and untrue headlines.

“It’s a perfect cycle. It can go through any woman who has ever stood out, or spoken out, or just done really well for a while,” explained Jamil. “We build her up. We exaggerate how fantastic, how beautiful, how incredible she is so people start to become a little bit sick of her face, and that’s when the destruction becomes easy because we have no empathy left for her.”

The bravely outspoken activist then used her own experience of reading headlines about Smith to illustrate the issue.

She continued, “When I first grew up, I adored you in ‘The Nutty Professor’ and everything you ever did before that… And then I started reading headlines about you, around the time that Will was doing ‘Wild Wild West’. I remember the exact headline that made me be like, ‘I don’t know if I like this woman.’ Forgive me for being this blunt. It was ‘Jada Says ‘Stay Away From Sexy Salma [Hayek]’ in like quotations as if they knew you’d said it in the privacy of your own home.”

After laughing at Jamil’s story with daughter Willow, Smith replied, “Salma actually happens to be one of my favourite women.”

Jamil added, “But I believed the headlines that I read about you because you were just doing too well and your marriage was too happy.”

Smith then responded, “I’ve come to the understanding that, with things that I’ve gone through and the way I’ve raised my kids, the way I’ve decided to have my marriage, I look at my life I go, ‘I get it. I could see why that wouldn’t be good for you.’ But, it’s like, you get to a place where you’re so comfortable with yourself, it’s like, ‘It’s alright. You don’t have to like me. It’s okay.'”

Allison Mack Allegedly Tried To Recruit Alaina Huffman To The NXIVM Sex Cult

“Smallville” actress Alaina Huffman is alleging that her co-star Allison Mack tried to recruit her to the NXIVM sex cult.

More than two years after Mack was arrested on charges of sex trafficking conspiracy, sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit forced labour, Huffman is speaking out about being invited to multiple meetings.

While talking with Page Six, Huffman claimed that Mack invited her often, but she never attended a meeting.

“As a young woman, 27, 28, on ‘Smallville’, Ally was a couple of years younger than me and here she was flourishing, very well put together, a really peppy and independent woman,” Huffman said. “She invited me a few times to some of these events and for whatever reason, I never made it, maybe because I was married and had kids.”

“I might have had something else that grounded more than I needed that kind of grounding, but I can understand the appeal,” she added.

Huffman also alleged that “Star Wars” actress Bonnie Piesse also tried to recruit her, saying, “We went out for dinner and she was like, ‘Oh, you’ve got to come to this group. I said, ‘Oh yeah, I know it from Ally.'”

Mack is currently awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to charges of racketeering and racketeering conspiracy. Meanwhile, NXIVM’s leader Keith Raniere was recently sentenced to 120 years in prison for his involvement.

Tayshia Adams Slams Reports Her Ex-Husband Joins Her Season Of ‘The Bachelorette’

Tayshia Adams is shutting down some rumours surrounding her season of “The Bachelorette”.

While the season is already dubbed “the most dramatic” one yet by host Chris Harrison, Adams insists her ex-husband will not be joining that cast.

After E! News reported that fans were convinced Josh Bourelle would make an appearance, Adams slammed the outlet.

“Don’t forget to stretch before you reach,” she wrote in the comments section of the outlet’s Instagram post. “Can we move on please and stop reaching?! Leave him alone. This is my journey and not my past.”

She added, “Guess I’ll just have to post on my IG the real truth.”

The rumours began after “The Bachelorette” posted a new promo on Twitter. With subtitles on, fans noticed Bourelle’s name as a voice-over.

James Charles Takes Care Of Charli D’Amelio So She Doesn’t ‘Go Crazy’ From Online Bullying

James Charles is speaking up about online bullying. Particularly the hate TikTok star Charli D’Amelio has faced.

While on the “Unfiltered” podcast, Charles said he and D’Amelio speak “almost every single day.”

Most of the time, their conversations are giving advice on dealing with online harassment.

“She’s an amazing friend on a personal level; but on like a career level I’ve been really trying hard to be there for her, help wherever I can, give her and her family advice, just really be there,” he said. “She’s one of those people I wanna make sure she’s okay, taken care of and not gonna go crazy from the amount of pressure she’s under — ’cause its insane.”

The makeup expert continued, “There’s been so many times where she’ll call me so upset, or crying over comments or something that’s happened, she’ll be like, ‘What do I do?'”

But Charles does have advice for the teen star.

“You can’t care. You have to get over this. You are literally the most famous person on the planet, you can not let one person who said something stupid on TikTok get to your head,” he said he tells her.

“You are so successful, you are killing it, you have so many people that love you – you have to get over it.”

Charles has had his fair share of online trolls attacking him, but the YouTuber says TikTok is the worst since negative comments show up first.

The two recently collaborated on a number of videos for Halloween, all of which took the top six spots on YouTube’s trending list.

‘Home Alone’ Director Blasts Disney+ Remake: ‘It’s A Waste Of Time’

The director of “Home Alone” is criticizing Disney+ for its decision to reboot the classic Christmas movie into a new TV series.

In a new interview with Insider, filmmaker Chris Columbus slams the streaming platform for its failure to be original.

“It’s a waste of time as far as I’m concerned,” says Columbus. “What’s the point? I’m a firm believer that you don’t remake films that have had the longevity of ‘Home Alone’.”

Continuing, he blasts, “You’re not going to create lightning in a bottle again. It’s just not going to happen. So why do it? It’s like doing a paint-by-numbers version of a Disney animated film — a live-action version of that.”

Columbus adds, “What’s the point? It’s been done. Do your own thing. Even if you fail miserably, at least you have come up with something original.”

The original 1990 movie starred Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, a young boy who has been mistakenly left at home while the rest of his family goes on a Christmas vacation to Paris.

Joe Pesci and Catherine O’Hara also feature in the box office hit.

Disney’s other recent remakes include “Lady and the Tramp“, “Peter Pan” and “The Little Mermaid“.

‘The Crown’ Cast Rolls Out The Red Carpet At Their Homes Ahead Of Season 4 Premiere On Netflix

The cast of “The Crown” is bringing the season four premiere home, literally.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, showrunners for the hit Netflix series decided to take the premiere virtual.

On Thursday, the show’s official Instagram page shared a look at Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Colman, Josh O’Connor, Emma Corrin, Emerald Fennell and Gillian Anderson in their premiere looks in front of a custom backdrop.

“If one cannot go to the premiere, the premiere must go to you,” the caption read. “The cast and crew of ‘The Crown’ take part in a virtual launch of season four from the comfort of their own homes.”

Anderson, who plays former UK Prime Minister Margret Thatcher, shared a closer look at her outfit for the evening, showing off her navy gown and black pumps.

The decision for the at-home event comes after England returned to a lockdown status on Nov. 5. Similar restrictions are being imposed across the United Kingdom.

Season four of “The Crown” premieres on Netflix on Nov. 15.

Kate Mara Admits She Had A ‘Horrible Experience’ Making ‘Fantastic Four’

There were no shortage of movie reviews professing that 2015’s “Fantastic Four” was awful, yet Kate Mara is now revealing that the only thing worse than watching the movie was the “horrible experience” of making it.

In an interview with the Television Academy, the 37-year-old actress — soon to be seen starring in FX drama “A Teacher” — detailed the terrible time she had while shooting the the big-screen bomb for director Josh Trank.

“I had a horrible experience on ‘Fantastic Four’,” she said of the superhero flick, in which she played Sue Storm, a.k.a. Invisible Woman.

“I’ve never talked about it before,” she admitted. “I married one of my co-stars, so I don’t regret doing that movie at all,” she said of husband Jamie Bell, who played Ben Grimm/Thing. “But do I wish I had responded differently to certain things? Yes, definitely,”

According to Mara, she and Trank didn’t exactly see eye to eye.

“The fact of the matter is that my two horrendous experiences with directors were male directors. Have I not gotten along with a female director? Absolutely. And was it not the greatest work experience? Sure. But there was never a time that I felt, ‘This is happening because I’m a woman,'” she explained. “Where with the male directors, it 100 per cent was only happening with me; it was a power dynamic thing. And on both of my bad experiences, the movies were 95-per-cent men and I was the only woman in the movie.”

Mara also detailed her experience on “Fantastic Four” in a subsequent interview with Collider.

“I think that the thing that I always go back to on that one is that I think I should have followed my instincts more. Like when my gut was telling me, ‘You probably shouldn’t let that slide, what that person just said,’ or if you’re feeling a certain way about what an energy is like and how that is affecting your performance. You’re being paid to do a certain thing and if something is in the way of that, you have the right to speak up and say, ‘I’m actually not able to do what I am here to do because of X, Y and Z,’” she said, without offering details.

“I think that speaking up is something that I think that we all probably learn it over and over again, to follow your instincts and if you’re feeling a certain thing that is uneasy or whatever, there’s a reason for it,” she added. “And I don’t regret doing it at all, but do regret not having stood up for myself. I regret that for sure.”

Lara Spencer is counting down to the show, live from from the CMA Awards red carpet.

Reba McEntire and co-host Darius Rucker will host this year’s socially distanced ceremony.

“That’s something that I’ve said about the CMAs for years. I try to explain to people, it’s like the only music genre I know where we all get together and have a party,” said Rucker said in an interview with ABC News.

Zac Brown Admits He Had The ‘Best Summer Ever’ During Lockdown

Zac Brown is focusing on the positive things that came from life in lockdown.

The Grammy Award-winning artist has admitted that he “had the best summer ever,” despite being forced to cancel his scheduled tour due to the onset of COVID-19 earlier this year.

The musician sat down for an interview with Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg, which was conducted on Facebook Live in honour of Veterans Day.

“I’ve been continuously touring since I was 18-years-old. I’ve been able to be really present during this time and be with my kids 24/7 when I have them,” he explained. “This has been the best summer I’ve ever had, I’m just in it with my kids. I appreciate having this quality time with my family and being able to make phone calls to my loved ones to just show my appreciation.”

Speaking about his latest song, “The Man Who Loves You The Most”, which was written as a tribute to a father’s love for his daughter, Brown said, “I’m [my daughter’s] man first… I want them to feel everything that the world has to offer, to love and live their lives, and have a full life. That involves not being the number one man when someone else comes in. It was important to have a reminder that this will always be your home and I’m the man who loves you the most no matter what.”

Brown and Sandberg also discussed the important work of his non-profit passion project, Camp Southern Ground, which the musician founded to support veterans and their families.

He added, “This is probably the greatest work I’ve done throughout my career along with my team. True satisfaction really comes from helping other people. It’s contagious to help others, and it’s so rewarding to me.”

Anderson Cooper Remembers The ‘Thrill’ Of Meeting Alex Trebek: ‘I Can’t Believe He’s Gone’

CNN host Anderson Cooper is looking back on his experiences of meeting the late Alex Trebek while appearing as a celebrity guest on “Jeopardy!”.

Calling in to SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” on Monday, Nov. 9, Cooper, who appeared on “Jeopardy!” a total of four times, said “I love the game. I think it’s just a smart, interesting thing that I’ve learned stuff from.”

Praising Trebek for his “extraordinary” hosting skills, Cooper continued, “It’s very rare that you have someone in a job like that for so long and who is so consistent and such a sort of calming presence. I just think he was pitch perfect in what he did day-in and day-out on that show. He didn’t make it about him and yet he added to the humour and the drama and the interest of it all. Showing up and doing something at a high level for that many decades is really extraordinary.”

Recalling his own experiences of meeting Trebek, Cooper said, “It was so thrilling to actually meet him. You wanted him to like you. It was just incredibly thrilling, even when I got beat.”

The news anchor added, “As if he was not beloved enough, the way he handled his illness in the last chapter of his life was extraordinary. The strength of continuing to work and being a voice for people who are facing a terminal illness.”

“What he had was an incredibly tough form of cancer and he just had such strength to keep going to work. I think so many people feel like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t believe he’s gone,’ and I think it’s just incredibly sad.”

Cooper previously shared a tribute to Trebek on Instagram.

Canadian television icon Trebek passed away at age 80 on Sunday.

Trebek is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jean Currivan Trebek, and their two children, Matthew, 30, and Emily, 27.

Niecy Nash, Jay Pharoah And More To Join ‘Masked Singer’ As Guest Panelists

The “Masked Singer” is looking forward to a number of special guest panelists over the upcoming weeks.

Joining panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger will be Niecy Nash (Nov. 11), Cheryl Hines (Nov. 18), Jay Pharoah (Thanksgiving special on Nov. 26) and Craig Robinson (Dec. 2).

When Robinson joins the show, the episode will reveal the three contestants going to the finale.

This will be Pharoah’s second time on the show hosted by Nick Cannon.

Bob Saget (Squiggly Monster), Wendy Williams (Lips), Mark Sanchez (Baby Alien), Brian Austin Green (Giraffe), Mickey Rourke (Gremlin) and Busta Rhymes (Dragon) have so far been eliminated.

That leaves Crocodile, Broccoli, Mushroom, Jellyfish, Whatchamacallit, Popcorn, Sun, Snow Owls and Serpent.

Alex Trebek ‘Cried Tears Of Joy’ During Don McLean’s Performance At Final ‘Jeopardy!’ Christmas Party

Don McLean is remembering a poignant moment he shared with the late Alex Trebek.

The “American Pie” singer performed during Trebek’s last “Jeopardy!” Christmas party in 2019.

Trebek asked the Grammy Hall of Fame inductee to sing at the festive gathering as a “bucket list” request.

“Alex asked if I would come and sing for him and his Jeopardy family at his annual Christmas party last year. I was on his ‘bucket list,’ he told me. It was at a lovely Italian restaurant near his home,” explained McLean in a statement shared on Twitter.

The statement continued, “He apologized for his red complexion which he said the medications gave him. It was a joyous and sad occasion and I was very touched that my music was that important to him.”

“There was not the slightest hint of self-pity or weakness in this man. He was elegant and dignified as you saw him on television. Old school for sure and someone who we all can learn from. I thought of him often afterward and I’ll think of him in the future and maybe try to be a little more like him.”

McLean previously told People how Trebek “cried tears of joy” during the performance.

Speaking at the time, he said, “There were a lot of tears. The songs can do that but under the circumstances, there was also a propensity to want to let some emotion out.”

DaBaby Highlights Police Brutality During MTV EMA Performance

DaBaby brought it for the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday with a mashup of three of his songs.

The virtual show saw the rapper perform “Rockstar”, “Blind”, and “Practice”.

His act was particularly timely as each song told a different story starting from being subject to police brutality while arrested, to a court case, to then explaining himself to the press.

DaBaby had multiple nominations including best song, best new artist, best collaboration and best hip hop.

Other performances included Sam Smith, Little Mix and Alicia Keys.

The video sees the actresses gearing up for their battle, before Gellar quickly knocks Doherty off her feet.

“My dog saved me,” Doherty added, sharing the post to her own page.

While the fight didn’t last long, some fans suggested that the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star and the “Charmed” actress should reprise their roles for a new spin-off series.

“Why didn’t Prue and Buffy make their own show,” wrote one fan.

Sam Smith Shares Powerful Message At The End Of Their MTV EMA Performance

The MTV Europe Music Awards took place on Sunday and included a number of incredible performances.

One of those came from Sam Smith who performed their song “Diamonds” from an empty theatre while strikes of white lightning flashed across a red screen.

Not only was Smith’s act pitch perfect, their message for fans afterwards hit home for many viewers.

“Don’t f**k with queer kids,” the backdrop read as Smith finished.

Other artists to virtually perform included Alicia Keys, Little Mix and Karol G.

Smith and Demi Lovato were nominated for best collaboration for their song “I’m Ready”, unfortunately, they lost to “Tusa” by Karol G. and Nicki Minaj.

Anderson Cooper ‘Regrets’ Comparing Donald Trump To An ‘Obese Turtle On His Back’

Donald Trump’s speech amid the election vote counting had a lot of people feeling a lot of things.

Frustration and anger at the President’s lack of respect for democracy and basic facts boiled over on not just social media but also the news channels.

Most networks cut Trump’s speech short but it was CNN anchor Anderson Cooper’s commentary afterwards that went viral.

“That is the President of the United States. That is the most powerful person in the world. And we see him like an obese turtle on his back, flailing in the hot sun, realizing his time is over,” Cooper said.

Trump wrongly claimed that the election was being stolen from him by giving illegitimate evidence.

Cooper’s insult was brought up again on Saturday while he was interviewing former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang.

“I’m happy to say, it seems like Trump is going to be, in your words, an obese turtle on his back, just flailing around, Anderson,” Yang said as everyone was celebrating Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ win.

Cooper responded by saying that he does “regret” using those words.

“By the way, I should say, I regret using those words because that’s not the person I really wanna be. It was in the moment, and I regret it,” he added.

Amy Poehler’s ‘Parks And Rec’ Scene With Joe Biden Goes Viral

A reemerged clip from “Parks and Recreation” has gone viral after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won the 2020 U.S. election.

The original 2012 clip was filmed during the time Biden was vice president and sees Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope first joking about becoming president in 2020 and then fan girling over Biden when her fiancé Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) arranges a special engagement gift.

“This isn’t happening,” Leslie exclaims while getting a little too touchy with Biden. “This isn’t real.”

She then tells him he is “very handsome” and warns the secret service to keep him safe, adding, “He is precious cargo.”

“Even when we can’t all be together, we always remember together,” Prince Harry said of this year’s plans. “Remembrance Day for me is a moment for respect and for hope. Respect for those who came before us and hope for a safer world.”

Prince Harry trained at Sandhurst in 2005 before joining the Blues and Royals. After more preparatory training, he served in Afghanistan twice.

“I wear the Poppy to recognize all those who have served; the soldiers I knew, as well as those I didn’t. The soldiers who were by my side in Afghanistan, those who had their lives changed forever, and those that didn’t come home,” Harry added.

The father of one also spoke about what it means to wear his uniform, calling it one of the “greatest honours there are in life.”

“It’s what happens in the darkness, it’s what happens when people aren’t looking. It’s what happens on and off the battlefield. It’s about carrying out our duty as soldiers. For me as a father, a husband and as a human being, it’s about how we uphold these values in every aspect of our lives.”

Prince Harry had to step down as Captain General of the Royal Marines when he and Meghan Markle left their roles as senior working royals earlier this year, a move that is said to have “devastated” him.

It was also his time serving which helped him come up with the idea for the Invictus Games which gives injured servicemen and women a new lease on life as they compete in a Paralympic style competition.

Queen + Adam Lambert Release ‘Somebody To Love’ Performance Video

Queen + Adam Lambert are here with a video to transport you.

Fresh off their release of the Live Around The World Album, the group put up the performance video for “Somebody to Love”.

The video was taken during their 2016 concert at the Isle of Wight Festival in the United Kingdom.

The iconic song was topped with Lambert teasing the crowd for their singing along abilities and his dance skills.

“Adam has the ability to sing anything and everything we throw at him,” Roger Taylor said of Lambert’s talent in a statement to Billboard. “There’s nothing he can’t handle. Our songs are big and theatrical and Adam fits that easily. I think he’s the best singer around. His range is staggering.”

The “American Idol” alum added, “Some of Queen’s songs are just so vocally athletic and physically demanding. For example, ‘The Show Must Go On’ is certainly demanding, ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’ goes from zero to 99. ‘Somebody to Love’ is really intense and big.”

‘The Talk’ Guest-Host Amanda Kloots Gets Tearful On Anniversary Of Husband Nick Cordero’s Passing

The ladies of Global’s “The Talk” got a new co-host this week, as dancer Amanda Kloots joined in as a special guest on the panel.

Kloots took to her Instagram Stories on Friday, Nov. 6 to give fans a preview of her hair and makeup ahead of filming for the show.

The wife of late Broadway star Nick Cordero also aired her appreciation for “The Talk” co-hosts.

Earlier in the week Kloots, got tearful as she discussed the four month anniversary of her husband’s death.

“The markers are hard,” Kloots said on Thursday’s show.

Host Sheryl Underwood consoled her, saying, “Things are going to come to you. I remember when my husband died. I could smell him. I could hear him…some of these things will become comforts to you.”

Kloots continued, “I’m so grateful to be here today. I do well when I keep busy. But it’s also just nice to be here and talk to you guys, and it’s very comforting. I listen to Nick’s music all the time…I feel so grateful that I have that, that I have his music to listen to and hear his voice.”

Talking about her 1-year-old son, Elvis, she added, “The last time he saw Nick was in March. He was eight months old, but he knows who his dad is. And I show him that picture, and he holds it, and he kisses it and my heart just melts.”

Meanwhile, “NCIS: New Orleans” co-stars and real-life husband and wife Scott Bakula and Chelsea Field appeared on Friday’s episode to tease season 7 of the crime drama, which premieres Sunday, Nov. 8.

“Well, we thought, since New Orleans is such a big character in our show, that to skip it or ignore it wouldn’t be fair to the city or all the characters in our show,” Bakula said of how the new season will address the coronavirus pandemic.

“So we decided to jump back in, very near the beginning of the pandemic, and we dealt with how all of our characters were affected by the first few months of COVID,” he continued. “It’s intense, it’s very emotional, but there’s also something kind of cathartic about it.”
