Stevie Nicks Reached Out To Lindsey Buckingham After His 2019 Heart Attack
There is no band in the history of rock that’s had more interpersonal drama than Fleetwood Mac.
While the members’ bed-hopping affairs and breakups during the 1970s also happened to coincide with the band’s creative peak, the band proved it hadn’t completely shed its well-earned image when, in 2018, guitarist/singer/songwriter Lindsey Buckingham was fired.
After being replaced by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ guitarist Mike Campbell and Neil Finn of Crowded House for the band’s already scheduled tour, Buckingham retaliated by suing, claiming he would have earned a sum between $12 and $14 million in two months of touring with the band.
In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, singer Stevie Nicks opens up about Buckingham’s ousting and subsequent heart attack. Buckingham and Nicks were a duo, both professionally and romantically, when they joined Fleetwood Mac, but their relationship was volatile, and they ended up splitting up — while remaining bandmates.
In Buckingham’s lawsuit, he says that he was fired days after the band appeared at the January 2018 MusiCares ceremony honouring Fleetwood Mac. His suit alleges someone told him that Nicks, under the impression he was mocking her when she delivered a speech, was so infuriated she told the rest of the band she’d quit if they didn’t get rid of him.
While Nicks won’t go into details for the Times, she does say that what took place that night was the “straw that broke the camel’s back.”

However, she insists, “I never planned for that to happen. Any time we re-formed to do a tour or a record, I always walked in with hope in my heart. And I just was so disappointed. I felt like all the wind had gone out of my sails.”
According to Nicks, she and Buckingham haven’t spoken since his firing, but she did write to him after he suffered a heart attack in February 2019, requiring open-heart surgery.
“You better take care of yourself. You better take it easy and you better do everything they tell you and get your voice back and feel the grace that you have made it through this,” she wrote.

Helen Reddy's daughter pays tribute to her trailblazing mother: 'To the woman who taught me to be fierce'
The daughter of late Aussie Helen Reddy has paid tribute to the legendary singer one day after her death.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Traci Wald Donat thanked her mother for being the feminist icon that she was and showing her how to live life fearlessly.
"To the woman who taught me to be fierce and uncompromising. Who raised me to be kind and to advocate for others. Who lived her life wholeheartedly and without fear. My heart is broken but I am filled with gratitude for the many gifts she gave me, and so many women. Safe travels sweet mom," the 57-year-old wrote alongside a throwback photo of the pair.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CFxO7-QBLlc/It was Donat and her brother, Jordan Sommers, 47, who announced the death of Reddy yesterday, aged 78. At the time of her death, the singer was residing in an assisted living facility in LA after her reported dementia diagnosis in 2015.
"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Helen Reddy, on the afternoon of September 29th 2020 in Los Angeles," Donat and Sommers said in a statement on the Helen Reddy Official Fan Page.
"She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and a truly formidable woman. Our hearts are broken. But we take comfort in the knowledge that her voice will live on forever."

Sommers was Reddy's son from her second marriage to her former manager Jeff Wald. The singer shared Donat with her first husband, Kenneth Weate, who she was married to from 1961 to 1966.
After their divorce, Reddy flew to New York to pursue a musical career and she took her daughter with her. Donat was just three years old at the time and mother and daughter only had $200 to their name.

"I arrive in New York, I had my daughter, three years old at the time, and $230 in cash and everything I could fit into two suitcases," Reddy told 60 Minutes back in 1979.
"Somebody from the record company took me to lunch and said, 'Have a nice time while you're in New York and do give us a call before you go back [to Australia].' They said, 'Somebody from Australia sent us a tape of your voice and we're really not interested.'
"And I found out later there was no tape and that was a complete lie. They just wanted to get rid of me. Not so easily done, however."

While that’s not an official confirmation, it seems Bette is 100% on board for it.
“Oh, yeah,” she added. “We’re just talking logistics.”
Plans for a sequel to the popular 1993 film were announced last year just before Halloween, and Disney+ later revealed that Adam Shankman would be directing the pic, taking over the reigns from Kenny Ortega.

At a time when millions of Americans are facing unemployment and crushing medical debt, it seems that the number of babies with expensive designer bags is also, inexplicably, on the rise.
Kyle Jenner posted some adorable behind the scenes photos from her daughter Stormi Webster’s first day of school. In a sweet Instagram video, the toddler cheered in excitement for her first day while dad Travis Scott looked on.

But in another shot from Kylie’s IG Story, the 2-year-old sported a very controversial accessory:
Yep… that’s a $12,000 Hermès bag the baby is wearing. And that’s just for preschool at home — we can’t imagine what kind of couture she’ll be rocking by the time she hits middle school!
One IG commenter put it succinctly:
“Your clothes alone are more expensive than my house”
For a kid who got her first Chanel bag on her first birthday as a gift from DJ Kahled, we probably shouldn’t expect anything less.
Another 2-year-old made headlines this year for getting gifted a Birkin bag: Kulture Kiari, the daughter of Cardi B and Offset. The WAP rapper, who happily posts her daughter’s drip on the tot’s IG page, defended the choice. She said:
“Yeah, kids only care about toys and candy. But the thing is, kids also go outside. Kids go to restaurants, kids go to fancy places. Celebrity kids, they go do red carpets. And if I’m fly, and daddy’s fly, then so is the kid. If I’m wearing Cha-nay-nay, my kid’s having the same thing. It’s not up to what the kids like. If it was the kids, they’d be outside in diapers. No, cause if I was looking like a bad bitch, expensive bitch, and I had my kid looking like a bum bum, then y’all would be talking s**t. So, I’m not mad that daddy bought baby a Birkin. She gonna match mommy.”
Despite the fact that Stormi (and probably the rest of her generation of the KarJenner clan) is living a life of luxury most folks could only imagine, the rest of her school day seemed a little more relatable. The toddler participated in some arts and crafts, and what looked like a cooking project.
OMG please tell us she didn’t get any of that on the bag!

We love to see Stormi so excited about school, but we do doubt she needed the designer drip to benefit her education.

Dr. Dre Issues FIERY Response To Ex’s $2 Million A Month Spousal Support Petition!
Screw it. The gloves are off.
After Nicole Young requested a whopping $2 million per month in spousal support earlier this month, Dr. Dre is through trying to be nice. Instead he’s hitting back with BITING legal words for his estranged wife!

Young has requested that her spousal support begins retroactively from September 1, so she is able to “continue to enjoy the lifestyle she enjoyed during marriage” — to the tune of $1,936,399 per month. YOWZA!
In a response filed last week, obtained by ET, the NWA founding member asked that the court deny Young’s request “in its entirety” — citing her entitlement as the reason she thinks she should get it:
“Petitioner and her counsel ought not be granted special privileges simply because Petitioner has become accustomed to an entitled lifestyle, particularly when that lifestyle wholly continues.”
Nicole says that Dre “kicked her out” of their Brentwood home after a “drunken rage” in the middle of the night — but she isn’t exactly on the street; she’s currently living at the couple’s Malibu residence.
In his response to her request, the 55-year-old also maintains that he has continued to pay for all of Nicole’s living expenses, which includes meals, credit card bills, and legal fees, and will do so moving forward. Seems like that would be enough for most people, right? He states:
“I have made it very clear to her by my words and actions that I want our dissolution to be amicable and for her to feel comfortable and respected.”
However, Dre’s desire for civility doesn’t mean he’s going to roll over! He says the 50-year-old’s choice to contest their prenuptial agreement “seems like the wrath of an angry person being exacerbated by opportunistic lawyers.” Damn.
According to Nicole, she claimed in earlier docs that she was forced to sign the prenup “under extreme duress” on their May 1996 wedding day, and that “only begrudgingly — and after multiple requests and a delay of two months — received a copy.”
Yikes!
Attorneys for the mother of two, who does not work, say she is “having difficulty paying her bills” and that the mogul has “been exerting financial control” over his ex by “ordering his agents to scrutinize her bills.”
Additionally, she alleges that her husband has “undertaken an aggressive approach to this case, engaging in gamesmanship and no-holds-barred hyper-litigation simply because he can afford to” and cut off the source funds available for her to pay for her case, hence the ask for covering $5 million in legal fees.
We doubt this will be coming to an end anytime soon!!

Gloria Steinem is the subject of “The Glorias”, a new biopic about the feminist icon that’s heading to Amazon Prime Video.
In the film, Steinem is portrayed at two different points in her life, with Alicia Vikander playing her as a young woman, and then later in life by Julianne Moore. Also starring are Lorraine Toussaint, Janelle Monáe and Bette Midler, with the latter playing legendary Congresswoman Bella Abzug. Steinem herself also appears in the film, as The Gloria.
On Wednesday, Steinem will be participating in a livestreamed Q&A moderated by her longtime friend, famed fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg. They’ll be joined by director Julie Taymor and members of the cast.

Cheryl Burke Reveals She And ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Partner AJ McLean Bond Over Their Sobriety
Cheryl Burke reveals it’s been “two years” since she’s had a drink of alcohol, and she’s celebrating her sobriety in an interview with the upcoming episode of the “LadyGang” podcast.
In a sneak peek of the episode, Us Weekly reports that the “Dancing With the Stars” pro dancer is happy with her decision to back away from booze.
“It was just a decision that I made for myself,” said Burke, who married actor Matthew Lawrence in May 2019. “And it was when Matt and I got engaged and it was during that engagement party that we were just like — or that I was like, he didn’t even know — I was just like, I was done.”

As she explained, she has a genetic propensity for addiction. “My father passed away — and then my dad was an alcoholic — so either I was gonna crash and burn and check myself into rehab or I was gonna just quit cold turkey,” she said. “That’s just my personality. It’s either black or white.”
Her “DWTS” partner, AJ McLean, has also struggled with addiction, and Burke says they’ve bonded over their shared sobriety.
“That’s why I really wanted AJ, because I’m like, for him to be maybe partnered with someone who is just, like, still fresh in the scene [or] likes to go out, I was a little worried just as a friend in a way,” Burke said. “But then I’m glad we’re partnered up together.”

According to Burke, “AJ also has influenced me in a positive way with him being sober and we can therapy talk. We go pretty deep to where I almost sometimes feel like the producers, they’re probably like, ‘These people! Elsa Hosk's secret is out! The Swedish model is expecting her first child with partner Tom Daly.
The Victoria's Secret Angel, 31, announced the exciting news on Tuesday morning via Instagram alongside a series of black-and-white photos that showed her growing baby bump.
"Been keeping this angel in my belly a secret for a while..." Hosk began the caption on her post. "Feeling beyond excited and lucky to be having a baby and begin the next chapter of life with the man of my dreams!!!!"

Current and former Victoria's Secret models flooded the comments to congratulate the mum-to-be. "YAY YAY YAY!! Can't wait for playdates," Romee Strijd wrote, who is expecting her first child with husband Laurens van Leeuwen.
"OH MY GOD," Taylor Hill added.
Hosk has been dating Daly, a Danish entrepreneur, since 2015 after he first shared a photo of them together during Halloween that year.

Shannen Doherty Says She's 'Got A Lot of Life In Me' While Speaking of Her Cancer
Shannen Doherty is opening up about her cancer journey in the new issue of Elle magazine.
The 49-year-old actress and filmmaker walked the magazine from her diagnosis to today, and revealed what the future holds for her.
“When I got cancer the first time, it was this really beautiful thing, because it finally stripped all of that away. Those walls were, like, eliminated. That sort of childhood resentment—19 to me is childhood—was gone,” Shannen shared while discussing how she had planned a dinner with her closest friends and her doctor to break the news to them of the cancer’s return.
She continued, “I was like, ‘Okay, do I have good karma? Do I have bad karma? Why would I have bad karma?’ I started taking stock of my life and the things I’d done, and the things I hadn’t done. How I was with people.”
After receiving the call that her cancer has metastasized, she says that “what I came out with was, I have good karma. It may not seem like it, but I’ve been a really good human being.”
Shannen adds that she’s not even close to done with the things she wants to do in her professional or personal life.
“I haven’t sat down to write letters. That’s something I need to do,” she said. “There are things I need to say to my mom. I want my husband to know what he’s meant to me.”
“But whenever it comes time for me to do it, it feels so final. It feels like you’re signing off, and I’m not signing off,” she added. “I feel like I’m a very, very healthy human being. It’s hard to wrap up your affairs when you feel like you’re going to live another 10 or 15 years.”
“It’s like anybody with Stage IV faces this sort of thing, where others want to put you out to pasture,” Shannen shared. “I’m not ready for pasture. I’ve got a lot of life in me.”

Joe Biden Mocks Trump's 'Performance Enhancers' Claims Prior to Debate
Joe Biden is taking a jab at President Donald Trump‘s claims.
The Democratic nominee mocked Trump‘s repeated claims in past weeks that the former Vice President may be on performance enhancing drugs, calling for him to submit to a drug test, which Biden turned down.
“It’s debate night, so I’ve got my earpiece and performance enhancers ready,” Biden tweeted, along with a photo of Apple headphones and Jeni’s ice cream.
Before the debate, Trump‘s campaign also questioned Biden about whether he was wearing an earpiece ahead of the debate, and alleged that he asked for breaks.
“Of course he’s not wearing an earpiece and we never asked for breaks,” Biden deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield told reporters.
“His staff seems concerned that he may not do well tonight and they’re already laying the groundwork to lie about why. It is pathetic, it’s weak, once again the Trump campaign is lying.”

Years Of O.J. Simpson Abuse Detailed In Nicole Brown Simpson’s Secret Diaries
This year marks the 25th anniversary of O.J. Simpson‘s acquittal in the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, and a new documentary will mark the occasion by sharing an all too often neglected perspective: the victim’s.
The story of the murder has been told and retold, often focusing on the infamous trial, and mostly from the perspective of her ex-husband and suspected murderer. (Who can forget the former football player redefining poor taste with his book If I Did It.) Now, a new Investigation Discovery special, O.J. & Nicole: An American Tragedy, centers specifically on Nicole and her story.

Describing the special, ID exec Henry Schleiff says:
“This documentary is not here to retell the famous trial, but to remember the woman who struggled with domestic violence and now tells her side of the story, in her words, for the first time.”
The doc gives Nicole a voice through her diaries, read by sister Tanya Brown. The pages reportedly contain over 60 incidents of domestic abuse Nicole suffered at O.J.’s hands. Unfortunately, these recollections were deemed inadmissible during the trial, with the judge ruling these accounts “hearsay” — another example of how little consideration victims of domestic violence are given in our justice system.

Nicole’s records of these incidents are detailed, specific, and graphic. In one entry, she notes the first time the athlete physically abused her, writing:
“1st time he beat me up after Louis + Nanie Mary anniversary party. Started on the street corner of NYC 5th Ave at about 9 (pm). Threw me on the floor, hit me, kicked me. we went to the hotel where he continued to beat me for hours and I continued crawling for the door.”
Another undated entry reads:
“Smashed my car (white Mercedes) with Baseball Bat after visiting Tommy Hughes. He greeted me at the gate. I was too afraid to get out of the car. He did it because I was late, about 7-8pm.”
Because she was late? Ugh…
Family and friends claimed to have no idea the level of abuse she suffered until after she died. One description shows how she covered for her famous husband:
“Eric & Val Von Watts. Listened to music at my place on Wilshire. After we finished our drinks we left. [He] beat me up so bad at home. Tore my blue sweater and blue socks completely off me. Went to hospital on Wilshire, pretended it was a bicycle accident.”
So sad.
Another part of the diary also highlights the accompanying verbal abuse:
“OJ was drunk, he never let up. Get out my f**king house you fat a** liar. I packed a few things together. … He locked the door again. I buzzed. Do I really have to go tonight? Sydney [Simpson, their daughter] [is] sleeping, it’s late. Let me tell you how serious I am. I have a gun in my hand, get the f*** out of here.”
These are just a handful of Nicole’s many recollections of abuse — it’s honestly too easy to see how these terrifying incidents could escalate to that inevitable deadly conclusion. Knowing that law enforcement were aware of some of the abuse — and that O.J. had even pleaded no contest to spousal abuse — makes it all the more tragic and infuriating that he was acquitted.

Hopefully, this ID doc will honor Nicole’s life, and shine a light on this all-important issue. Domestic violence needs to be taken much more seriously in our society, and we need to do a better job of protecting victims of abuse.

100% Plant-Derived Squalane
I’ve heard some pretty stellar things about Squalane-spiked skincare, but I’ll admit that I haven’t yet tried it. Thanks to a slew of convincing Redditors however, I am now dying to get this product in my hands STAT. “I recently started using it and was immediately amazed at how well it absorbs. This is probably my absolute favorite product from the brand—and it appears that I’m not alone. One Redditor gushed “Really noticeable improvements after one use! I’ll admit this serum is new to me…but I’ve already added it to my cart based on the sheer amount of love it’s getting over on Reddit. When responding to a favorite The Ordinary thread, one fan suggested this skin-enhancing serum to a The Ordinary newbie. “I find it to be a great hydration booster and I use it to help with barrier repair.
