Without ‘Moesha,’ These Great Black TV Show Spinoffs Would Not Exist!

TSR Black Excellence: I know I’m not the only one getting my entire life to Moesha right now! Despite the overall nostalgic feel of the show, us 80s and 90s kids were truly blessed to have a young Black heroine on TV like Moesha as someone to look up to.

She was smart, she was beautiful, and she was realistic. ‘Moesha’ gave us so much more than just a role model however.

Without the TV series, we wouldn’t have several great Black shows that we know and love today! While we all recognize “The Parkers” as one of the more famous spinoffs of Moesha, perhaps you may or may not have known that “Girlfriends” and “The Game” exist in the same universe!

Health Officials Say Forthcoming COVID-19 Vaccine Will Be “Free” For All & It’s Expected In January 2021

Roommates, as the country continues to wait for an official COVID-19 vaccine, new reports confirm that the wait is almost over. According to reports from medical officials, the COVID-19 vaccine is just a few months away—and it will be “free” for all Americans.

According to Paul Mango, a senior health department official, “We are on track to deliver hundreds of millions of doses by January 2021.” The government has reportedly invested over $10 billion in six vaccine projects. If a COVID-19 vaccine is approved after clinical trials, hundreds of millions of doses will be delivered and paid for by the government, according to Mango.

As for the cost to have these doses administered by doctors and other technicians, it’s been revealed that it should more than likely be covered by health insurance providers. Mango also said that “most” commercial insurers will waive out-of-pocket fees.

“What we’re hoping is that every American will not only get a free vaccine distributed to many different outlets but also will not have to pay for the administration of that vaccine,” he added. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) confirmed that doses purchased by the federal government will be provided at no cost as part of Operation Warp Speed—which is the Trump administration’s effort to develop and deploy a coronavirus vaccine.

As we previously reported, the U.S. has official authority to fine or jail anyone who refuses to take the vaccine according to a law enacted back in 1905.

Tekashi 69 Gets Heckled By Fans As He Visit Los Angeles!

Roommates, love it or hate it, it feels like everyone has something to say when it comes to Tekashi 69. Now that he’s officially off of house arrest, Tekashi has wasted almost no time jetting off to the west coast with his bae, Jade right by his side. Tekashi kicked off his trip with an Instagram post showing him touching down in Los Angles via private plane of course, holding huge stacks of money.

He then managed to do some sight seeing where he drew huge crowds at the Santa Monica Pier. Things seemed like they were going okay, that is, until he stopped by a mural of Nipsey Hussle. Now, we know Tekashi likes to keep things interesting when it comes to social media, so many people took him visiting Nipsey’s mural as a sign of disrespect given his reputation. Someone actually caught Tekashi at the mural and painted a slightly different version of events, see below:

Interestingly enough, Da Baby’s former flame, Dani Leigh also weighed in on Tekashi’s LA whereabouts, saying this:

Regardless of the hate, Tekashi has found time to give back during his trip. He posted another video of himself throwing hundred dollar bills in the air for bystanders to catch.

If you listen closely, you can hear someone in the background encouraging people not to pick up the money. If you thought that was just a moment, Tekashi made sure to upload ANOTHER video showcasing the ‘fan love’ he was getting as he walked to his next destination.

In the video you can hear people heckle Tekashi and tell him to go back home. Let’s just hope Tekashi gets to his next destination safely. He’s been enjoying his freedom to say the least!
