Alec Baldwin is breaking his silence.
The 63-year-old actor spoke out for the first time on social media on Friday (October 22) following the horrific news that he accidentally fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and critically wounded director Joel Souza with a prop gun on the set of upcoming film Rust.

“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours,” he wrote.
“I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family,” he continued.
“My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna,” he added.
Details are still surfacing about the prop gun used on set. Alec‘s brother also just spoke out about the incident.
