Jennifer Hough Speaks Out Against Nicki Minaj & Her Husband Kenneth Petty: 'I'm Tired of Being Afraid'

Jennifer Hough is breaking her silence.

In August, it was revealed that Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty had been accused of bribery by Jennifer, who was sexually assaulted by Kenneth in 1994.

In the lawsuit, Jennifer alleged that Nicki and her associates repeatedly reached out to her and her family to get her to issue a statement denying that the sexual assault occurred.

Jennifer sat down with Garcelle Beauvais and Adrienne Bailon to discuss her experience after filing the lawsuit on The Real on Wednesday (September 22).

Jennifer began the interview by telling Garcelle that she decided to speak up because she was “tired of being afraid.”

“I feel like the actions that were taken in regards to this whole situation have put me in a different type of fear, at my age. And it was wrong,” she said. “And I don’t want to be afraid anymore. So the only way not to be afraid is to continue to speak up.”

She then recounted her first time seeing Kenneth, telling the hosts that she met him at a bus stop and he put an object in her back and forced her into a nearby house. Her school security called the police after the incident, who asked her to show them where the assault took place.

“I watched them bring him out in handcuffs and then they took me to the hospital,” she recalled.

When Kenneth‘s conviction was made public year later, Nicki took to social media and claimed that he and Jennifer were in a relationship and that Kenneth was 15 at the time.

Adrienne asked how Nicki‘s claims made her feel and Jennifer replied, “It was like reliving it again because it was a lie, it wasn’t true, we both were 16, we were never in a relationship. I just felt woman to woman that was wrong of her.”

A few weeks ago, Kenneth entered a plea deal for failing to register as a sex offender in California.
