Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has been forced to exit the 2024 Mad Max franchise film Furiosa, directed by George Miller.

Mank actor Tom Burke has replaced him in the role.

According to Deadline, Yahya was forced to exit the movie due to scheduling conflicts. It’s unclear what he is filming now that has gotten in the way of Furiosa, but sources say it’s a “secret passion project” of his. The filming timeline for this project got moved up and he was forced to exit.

Anya Taylor Joy is set to star in the leading role for the upcoming movie alongside Chris Hemsworth.

Anya recently spoke out about playing the iconic role after Charlize Theron played her in the last movie.
