Keira Knightley has revealed that she, and her entire family, have been affected by COVID-19.
In her interview with The Times‘ Stella Magazine, the 36-year-old actress shared that she, husband James Righton, and their two daughters, Edie and Delilah, have all tested positive for the coronavirus.
Keira added that while she and her daughters are still griping with the virus, James has had an easier time with it while in quarantine with them.
“[He is] being very smug about it – he is convinced it’s because he’s one of those cold-water swimmers and I’m not,” she joked.
Keira was promoting her new film, Silent Night, in the feature, which centers on a family who are ready to welcome friends and family for what promises to be a perfect Christmas gathering. Perfect except for one thing: everyone is going to die.
“We were filming scenes about the shops running out of food at the same time as the news was becoming full of stories that all of the toilet paper had gone,” she recalled to the magazine. “It was incredibly strange for everyone.”
Keira added, “I think it should come with a warning, because now everybody is coming to the film with a lived experience, hopefully not as horrific as this one, but it has suddenly become a lot more raw.”
Silent Night is in theaters and on AMC+ on December 3. See the trailer here!
