Kathryn Gallagher is joining the Gossip Girl universe!
The 28-year-old actress, who was recently nominated for a Tony Award for her work in the Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill, will appear in the second half of the HBO Max revival series’ first season.
Gossip Girl executive producer and showrunner Joshua Safran announced the exciting news during the show’s PaleyFest NY panel.

Kathryn will be playing the sister of Eli Brown‘s character Obie Bergmann.
“You’re going to meet Obie’s sister, who is played by Kathryn Gallagher, Tony nominee from Jagged Little Pill. Kathryn is amazing. There’s a lot of fun things coming up,” he said during the panel.
Joshua also confirmed that Malcolm McDowell will be back as Roger Menzies and Lyne Renée will be back as Helena Bergmann.
For those who don’t know, Kathryn starred in the first season of Netflix’s You as Annika Atwater. She was most recently seen on screen in the Amazon anthology series Modern Love.
