Jamie Lee Curtis is getting candid about her decision to defend Scarlett Johansson.
Jamie was one of six celebrities to publicly support Scarlett after the actress sued Disney over the release of Black Widow, claiming that she missed out on potential profits that she would have earned if the movie was given an exclusive theatrical release.
During an interview with ET Canada, the Halloween Kills star discussed her decision to stick up for Scarlett and whether she’d want to work with her on a film in the future.

“I would,” Jamie said when asked if she saw them starring in a movie together. “I’m older than these young women and it’s unlikely that there will be something where I will align with Scarlett.”
She went on to say that she’s “always admired her” and has thought of her as an amazing performer.
“I’ve always just thought of her – I don’t want to say fearless, because she’s been so vulnerable on screen that she has shown great empathy and emotion,” she continued, adding, “She’s just f-ing cool.”
“And I think what she’s doing and saying in this lawsuit is important. Women who speak up are called bitches and strident, and men who speak up are called heroes,” Jamie said. “So I’m going to stand with the women.”
