“We’re certainly closer to the end than the beginning,” Pat shared. “I’d like to leave before people tune in and look at me and say, ‘Ooh, what happened to him?’”
“I wouldn’t bet on seeing us in, like, 10 years, I would say,” he continued, asking Vanna, “Is that fair [to say]?”
“Probably, yes,” she agreed.
However, fans don’t have to worry about Pat and Vanna exiting the show any time soon, as they recently signed contracts to be on Wheel of Fortune through 2024.
Vanna went on to say that she and Pat have become like family after working on the show together for so many years.
“We’ve been together for like 38 years and he’s like my brother,” she said. “He’s funny. I mean, we could finish each other’s sentences if we wanted to. We know each other that well.”
The pair also discussed their new season of their spinoff series, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, which will feature appearances from Jason Alexander, Cheryl Burke and more!
When asked which celebrity he’d like to see on the show, Pat said, “I would pick Meryl Streep, because I just want to have Meryl Streep standing there and saying, ‘Come on, big money!’ That’s my dream.”
Season 2 of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune premieres Sunday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
