Fans are only hours away from the newest NCIS series premiere, NCIS: Hawaii.
The pilot will center on an experimental Naval aircraft crashes on Oahu, and Tennant and her team must find who is behind it before classified state secrets are exposed
“It means a lot,” star Vanessa Lachey shared about playing the role of Jane. “It’s something I definitely don’t take for granted and something that I will not take lightly. But it’s an honor and it’s even evolving the NCIS franchise..I got some big shoes to fill with the fellas before me.”
She added that “all eyes are on” her entire cast, too.
“We have so much respect for the NCIS franchise…So when you talk about the pressure we feel, I just want fans to know we’re not trying to replicate what the show is, we’re just evolving it into another layer as the times go on, as the characters evolve.”

Meet the cast of NCIS: Hawaii below!
Vanessa Lachey
Vanessa is Jane Tennant, who is a woman in a male-dominated profession, she’s thrived in a system that’s pushed back every step of the way through equal parts confidence and strategy. But Tennant is more than just a job and a title. She’s a mother raising her kids mostly on her own. Like any parent who loves their career and their family – she’s a master juggler – balancing the duty to both her children and her country.
Yasmine Al-Bustami
Yasmine is Lucy, who is the junior member of Tennant’s NCIS team. Eager to be the first one to find that key piece of evidence, create a workaround in the bureaucracy, or tackle a suspect down a flight of stairs.
Noah Mills
Noah will play Jesse, a former big city homicide detective who’s settled in a new life in Hawai‘i. An expert interrogator with knack for good old fashioned police work, but Jesse’s also a devoted family man who runs 4-H camping trips for his kid.
Jason Antoon
Jason is Ernie, NCIS’s Cyber Intelligence Specialist. Ernie is a polyglot with a keen mind for technology, history, literature and all things Hawaiian. He’s an essential component of the team, who can trace an anonymous ip address or profile a suspect using only their social media footprint. Ernie doesn’t have family on the island so he’s invited himself to join his Team’s families.
Alex Tarrant
Alex will play charming local Kai, a new addition to Jane’s team who boasts the special ability to blend into the island while investigating high-stakes crimes. Kai recently returned home to care for his ailing father and to reconcile with his complicated past. A far cry from his carefree years catching waves and serenading a wahine with his ‘uke, but that’s all in a day’s work for an agent of his caliber.
Tori Anderson
Tori is Kate Whistler, an ambitious agent of the Defense Intelligence Agency who is intent on climbing the professional ladder. She excels at her work and the politics involved in getting ahead. But despite appearances, Whistler runs deep. There’s more to her story, as certain members of the team will learn.
Kian Talan
Kian is Alex, Jane’s oldest child, a 16-year-old who is strong willed and mature beyond his years. He still is struggling to cope with his parents’ divorce and all of the changes that come with it, but at his core he’s a good kid who just might not always make good choices.
NCIS: Hawaii will premiere TONIGHT, Monday, September 20 at 10/9c on CBS.
