DaBaby Pulled From Governors Ball Lineup Amid Controversy

DaBaby will not be performing at the 2021 Governors Ball.

The 29-year-old rapper has been dropped from the lineup amid the controversy surrounding the homophobic, misogynistic and ignorant comments he made at the Rolling Loud Festival.

On Monday (August 2), the official Twitter account for the Governors Ball shared an updated lineup with DaBaby‘s name absent, along with a statement about his removal.

“Founders Entertainment does not and will not tolerate hate or discrimination of any kind,” they wrote. “We welcome and celebrate the diverse communities that make New York City the greatest city in the world. Thank you to the fans who continue to speak up for what is right. Along with you we will continue to use our platform for good.”

The caption for the tweet also teased a new “lineup addition.”

The decision comes after it was announced Chicago-based festival Lollapalooza had also decided to pull DaBaby from their lineup.

His comments have been condemned by his “Levitating” collaborator Dua Lipa, Elton John and most recently Madonna, who responded to his comments on Instagram.
