Cardi B is showing her support for Lizzo.
Over the weekend, the “Juice” performer broke down in tears as she recounted hateful comments people have been leaving since the release of her new song, “Rumors.”
“People who have something mean to say about you, and for the most part it doesn’t hurt my feelings, I don’t care,” Lizzo explained in the clip, adding, “I just think when I’m working this hard, my tolerance gets lower, my patience is lower. I’m more sensitive, and it gets to me.”
Cardi B, who collaborated with the performer on the new track, took to social media on Sunday (August 15) to share her reaction to Lizzo‘s video.

“When you stand up for yourself, they claim your [sic] problematic & sensitive,” she tweeted. “When you don’t, they tear you apart until you crying like this.”
“Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you,” she continued. “Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table.”
The rapper also addressed criticism of their new single in a separate tweet.
“‘Rumors’ is doing great,” Cardi wrote. “Stop trying to say the song is flopping to dismiss a womans [sic] emotions on bullying or acting like they need sympathy. The song is top 10 on all platforms. Body shaming and callin [sic] her mammy is mean & racist as f–k.”
Lizzo recently opened up about body positivity in the music industry.
Last month, Cardi took to social media to defend her involvement in a collaboration with another huge artist. Check it out…
