American Idol‘s judges for the 2022 season have just been revealed, and we now know who will be returning.
The new season is expected sometime in early 2022, though no premiere date has been set at ABC just yet.

Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie will all be back, with Ryan Seacrest once again returning as host!
“Luke, Katy, Lionel and Ryan have become synonymous with Idol on ABC. As music and industry icons, they have been the best at dispensing wisdom and guidance to the contestants over the past four seasons, and they’re ready to do it again,” Rob Mills, executive vp unscripted and alternative entertainment at Walt Disney Television, said to THR. “We have the utmost confidence in this group as we begin a momentous season of this groundbreaking competition show. I think it’s safe to say this dream team has officially cemented their legacy on Idol.”
