Alyssa Milano‘s quick thinking saved her life and her uncle’s life.
The 48-year-old actress and her uncle were involved in a very scary car accident on Tuesday (August 17) while driving on an Los Angeles freeway.

Alyssa was riding in the passenger seat while her uncle, Mitch, started suffering a medical issue behind the wheel, law enforcement shared with TMZ.
Another car hit theirs as Mitch fell unconscious, suffering what appears to be a heart attack.
Their SUV then started drifting into another lane and struck another car, before coming to a stop when Alyssa reached over her unconscious uncle and used her hand to slam the brakes and stop the car.
Alyssa started giving her uncle CPR and other onlookers were able to assist before first responders arrived on the scene and rushed Mitch to the hospital, where he is still being treated.
Shortly after the incident, Alyssa took to Twitter to briefly address the situation.
“We should all take every opportunity we have to protect the people we love. Get vaccinated. Wear masks. Lock up your guns. Learn CPR. Small, common-sense actions. It’s not hard to take care of each other, but it is important,” Alyssa tweeted.
