Kristen Bell is known for being candid about her marriage to Dax Shepard and now she’s opening up about their therapy sessions!
The 40-year-old Woman In The House actress made a virtual appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (June 29) and she told guest host Chelsea Handler that she and her husband had to adjust their therapy routines during the pandemic.

“At the beginning of the pandemic, we were at each other’s throats, and then all the doors locked in our house, like we had to stay inside, and we were like, ‘Woof, we need to get a handle on the annoyances,’” Kristen explained.
The actress, who shares 8-year-old Lincoln and 6-year-old Delta with Dax, said that their therapist, Harry, eventually suggested that the couple see him in solo sessions.
She shared that this gave them a chance to “brush up on [their] toolbox” and work through things that annoy them about the other person.
“He suggested we go to therapy separately, kinda so that we could talk s–t about each other,” Kristen said to laughs from the audience. “And we did, and it’s been great. What we’ve been doing the last couple months is, every two weeks or so, I’ll see Harry via Zoom and complain about Dax, and then he’ll give me all the reasons why I’m wrong, and then Dax will do the same.”
“And then, by the time we meet up in the evening, we love each other again because our toolboxes are bigger,” she added.
Earlier this month, Dax joked about having a “three way marriage” with Kristen.
