Kate Middleton Posts a Rare Selfie Video to Mark Children's Mental Health Week - Watch!

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (AKA Kate Middleton) is getting up close and personal.

The 39-year-old royal spoke in a rare casual front-facing selfie video posted to social media on Sunday (January 31) from what appeared to be grounds of her Norfolk home, Amber Hall, where she is spending lockdown with Prince William and their three children.

She was seen wearing a navy beanie and quilted jacket during the clip, in which she encouraged parents to “look after” themselves in this “hugely challenging time,” adding that parents need to be “the very best versions of ourselves for the children in our care.”

“This year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is all about expressing yourself – about finding creative ways in which to share your thoughts, ideas and feelings…so whether that’s through photography, through art, through drama, through music or poetry – it’s finding those things that make you feel good about yourself,” she explained.

“This is a hugely challenging time for us all so please look after yourself too…find those ways in which to share your thoughts and your feelings or find someone to talk to because we really do need to be the very best versions of ourselves for the children in our care.”

“Tomorrow is the start of Children’s Mental Health Week – an opportunity to remind ourselves not just how important our own children’s mental health is but also parental wellbeing too. We look forward to sharing more about the year’s theme of expressing yourself this week,” the post from the royal accounts reads.
