Heidi Klum made a full-on Halloween short film because she couldn't have her party

It's hard to imagine Halloween without one of Heidi Klum's epic parties, but sadly thanks to COVID, it's become a reality.

Every year for the past two decades, the supermodel hosts a giant legendary Halloween bash, attended by Hollywood elite in the best and most elaborate costumes you could imagine.

Klum never shies away from a show-stopping costume: in past years she's gone as Jessica Rabbit, Princess Fiona, an old lady, a transformer and Betty Boop.

This year, despite the fact she can't have a party thanks to coronavirus restrictions, Klum is still embracing the Halloween spirit.

Instead of a star-studded event, the 47-year-old filmed and released a spooky short film to keep her fans entertained. She roped in her husband Tom Kaulitz, and her four children — Leni, 16, Henry, 14, Johan, 13, and Lou, 10 –– to appear in the film as well.

Halloween is different this year," she captioned the short on Instagram, "but that shouldn't stop us from getting creative at home. Be safe, be spooky, and spend time with family. #HeidiHalloween2020."

The five-and-a-half minute film opens with the model discussing with her family how they should dress up for Halloween. She decides to wrap her kids in toilet paper to become zombies, but then lightning strikes their house and they turn into zombies for real!

The film then turns into Klum trying to escape her kids, who are doing every thing they can to try and eat her alive.

"It was such a fun way to get the whole family involved and my kids really enjoyed the process," Klum told People about the film. "Even though they have come to visit me on set many times throughout the years, they have never been in front of the camera like this learning how to remember lines and how to create costumes and makeup for a short film."

"I really wanted to keep the Halloween spirit alive by keeping up with our traditions and celebrations," she went on.

It's a truly Oscar-worthy production, and it just goes to show that Heidi Klum will always be the queen of Halloween.
