Serena Williams celebrates after her big win during the 2020 U.S. Open on Monday (September 7) at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.
The 38-year-old tennis star became the first tennis player to reach 100 wins at Arthur Ashe Stadium, the home of the U.S. Open.
Serena has won 100 matches and lost 13 of them. The player with the second-most amount of wins is Roger Federer with 77 wins.
During the match, Serena defeated Greek player Maria Sakkari to proceed to the quarter-finals of the U.S. Open.
Serena has won the women’s singles tournament at the U.S. Open in 1999, 2002, 2008, 2012, 2013, and 2014. She came in second place the last two years.
