Nelly was showing off his massive arm muscles while going to and from Dancing With The Stars rehearsals over the weekend, just days ahead of the premiere of season 29.
The 45-year-old rapper is set to hit the ballroom floor with rumored partner Daniella Karagach for a Salsa, set to his own debut song, “Ride Wit Me.”
“I did not pick it,” Nelly admits about the song choice. “If it were left up to me I probably would not be dancing to my own music.”
Nelly explained his reason is “because if I want to dance to my own music I’ll go do shows. I’ll do what I’ve been doing for the past 20 years. I came here for a different experience; to take Nelly to a different experience.”
However, he’s still excited for his first dance on the show.
“On the other hand it’s like, ‘I came here to dance and not really be Nelly, but to bring Nelly to a different genre.’ But I’m game, so we’ll see what happens!”
