Gwyneth Paltrow & Gabrielle Union Speak Candidly About Being Stepmothers

Gwyneth Paltrow and Gabrielle Union are bonding over being stepparents.

The actresses, both 48, opened up about being stepmothers to their husbands’ kids during a new episode of Gwyneth‘s podcast The goop Podcast.

Gwyneth, who shares daughter Apple, 16, and son Moses, 14, with ex-husband Chris Martin is stepmom to current husband Brad Falchuk‘s daughter Isabella and son Brody, whom he shares with ex-wife Suzanne Bukinik.

“I have two beautiful stepchildren, who are the same age as mine,” Gwyneth shared. “When I became a stepmother, when I knew I was going to become a stepmother, I was like, ‘S–t, I have no idea how to do this. There’s nothing to read. What do I do? Where do I step in? Where do I not? How do I do this?’”

Gwyneth added, “It’s been a really interesting challenge for me and I love them and I’ve learned so much about myself through the process.”

Gabrielle then shared how she learned to be a stepmom to Dwyane Wade‘s kids, sons Zaire, 19, and Xavier, 7, and daughter Zaya, 13, whom they raise together. Together, Gabrielle and Dwyane are parents to daughter Kaavia, 2.

When she became a stepmom, Gabrielle said that she took from personal experience, saying that she “tried to do the opposite of what I thought my stepmother did wrong or could have done better.”

“Whoever you are, just be consistent so everyone can get used to who the hell you are really and you’re not putting on an act and then the mask falls off,” Gabrielle said.

She also advised other stepparents to stay “above the fray” to avoid saying anything negative about your stepkids’ birth parents.

US Olympic Athletes Will Be Allowed To Raise Fists & Kneel During National Anthem at Olympic Trials

The US Olympic committee has overturned a big rule in the community for the 2021 Summer Olympic games.

For many years, it has been frowned upon for athletes to share their social justice views in any form in their sport. However, this year, athletes will be allowed to do just that.

In a new document that was released this week, the IOC outlined new actions that are permitted during the games.

They include kneeling during the National Anthem and raising a fist at the starting line or on the podium. Tommie Smith and John Carlos famously raised their fists after winning medals during the 1968 games held in Mexico City.

Athletes who are competing in the Olympic trials will be allowed to wear hats or face coverings with phrases including “Black Lives Matter,” “Trans Lives Matter,” “equality” and “respect.”

Also permitted is “orally advocating for equity/equal rights for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) individuals, or other historically underrepresented, marginalized or minoritized populations.”

No hate speech is allowed, and anything beyond social justice demonstrations and the athlete would receive a sanction.

The 2021 Summer Olympics, to be held in Tokyo, were postponed last year because of the pandemic and are now expected to take place starting on July 23.

However, outside the athletes and coaches, these are the only people allowed to attend.

Brian Austin Green, Candice Bergen, & More Are Heading to 'The Conners'

ABC has announced a ton of actors who will be guest starring on The Conners!

The network announced on Tuesday (March 30) that Brian Austin Green, Candice Bergen, and Danielle Harris will be appearing in upcoming episodes of the hit sitcom, The Wrap reports.

If fans remember, Danielle appeared in the fifth season of Roseanne back in 1993 as Molly Tilden, who lived next door to the Conners and was a high school rival for David’s (Johnny Galecki) affection.

Danielle will be returning for the episode airing on April 7 where, 30 years after they were first enemies, becomes close with Darlene (Sara Gilbert).

Earlier this season, Candice made her debut on The Conners as Ben’s (Jay R. Ferguson) mother, Barb. She will be returning for two episodes later in the season.

This will be Brian‘s first time on the show. He will be appearing in two episodes as Jeff, a “quirky, free spirit traveler who lives out of his van.”

If you missed it, Brian and his new girlfriend made their red carpet debut as a couple!

The Conners air on Wednesday nights at 9pm ET on ABC.

Selena Gomez Films A Frightening Scene For 'Only Murders In The Building' in NYC

Selena Gomez and Martin Short have really worried looks on their faces while filming a scene for Only Murders In The Building in New York City on Tuesday night (March 30).

The two actors were seen arriving in front of their apartment building which is used for the upcoming Hulu series, and being shocked by the arrival of an ambulance.

Selena, wearing a cute plaid skirt that coordinated with her tan coat, and Martin, also in a tan coat, rushed to the emergency vehicle for the scene they were filming and were met with someone familiar on a stretcher!

Steve was on the stretcher and being loaded into the ambulance among extras who portrayed the FDNY and EMTs.

Only Murders, which will premiere later this year, “surrounds three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a murder occurs in their NYC apartment building, they are forced to work together to figure out what happened.”

Vanessa Bryant Shares Adorable Video of Natalia Celebrating Her Acceptance to USC - Watch!

Natalia Bryant has been accepted to another college!

Vanessa Bryant took to Instagram on Tuesday afternoon (March 30) to share a video of her 18-year-old daughter jumping for joy after finding out she was accepted to University of Southern California.

“I got in!” Natalia yelled with a huge smile on her face while wearing a USC sweatshirt.

Vanessa, 38, also shared her excitement for her eldest daughter with a sweet caption, writing that late husband Kobe Bryant would be “so proud” of Natalia.

“Tears of joy,” Vanessa wrote. “I’m SO happy for you Nani! I know daddy is so PROUD OF YOU. I am so PROUD OF YOU!!”

“Your hard work and dedication was so worth it. You pushed through the most excruciating pain imaginable and you succeeded,” Vanessa continued. “I wish Daddy and Gigi were physically here to celebrate but I know they’re here in spirit. We love you so much!”

Along with USC, Natalia has also been accepted to Loyola Marymount University, University of California Irvine, and University of Oregon.

All of the exciting college news also comes after it was announced that Natalia had signed with IMG Models.
