Jen Shah is making a request amid her ongoing legal troubles.
People writes that according to new court documents, the reality star and her legal team have requested that a judge dismiss the charges against her, calling Hulu’s new documentary about her “reprehensible” and arguing it will “severely jeopardize” her right to a fair trial.

Earlier this year, Jen and her assistant Stuart Smith were arrested for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering in an alleged telemarketing scam. Jen has maintained her innocence and pleaded not guilty to the charges, while Stuart recently changed his plea to guilty.
The new documentary The Housewife & the Shah Shocker features interviews with Bravo fans, legal experts and Jen‘s family members, as well as victims of alleged telemarketing schemes.
In her request, which was filed Nov. 30, the reality star’s attorney claimed that the documentary’s interview with two Homeland Security Investigations agents offered information about her case that was not yet public, while adding their opinions of the “lavish lifestyle” of “fraudsters” in order to “poison the jury pool.”
“Their behavior has destroyed any chance that Ms. Shah will have a fair trial with an impartial jury,” her attorney wrote.
“Given both the extensive viewership of Hulu nationwide and Ms. Shah‘s public notoriety, a change in venue would not protect Ms. Shah‘s rights, nor would alternative remedies such as a detailed voir dire or emphatic jury instructions,” the docs added, requesting that the indictment be dismissed.
