MP David Amess has tragically died after a horrific stabbing.
The 69-year-old member of Parliament, a member of the ruling Conservative Party, was attacked at Belfairs Methodist Church in Leigh-on-Sea during a meeting with voters on Friday (October 15) in the United Kingdom.

“He was treated by emergency services but, sadly, died at the scene. A 25-year-old man was quickly arrested after officers arrived at the scene on suspicion of murder and a knife was recovered,” a police source told Reuters.
There was no information about the motivation for the deadly attack.
David Amess was married with five children, and was first elected to parliament in 1983. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth for public service in 2015.
