The film is expected to hit $195.2 million by Sunday and has surpassed Marvel’s Black Widow, which currently stands at $183.4 million.

Shang-Chi was released on a purse theatrical window, versus the day-and-date strategy used to release Black Widow. The studio has announced that the movie will be available for Disney+ subscribers to stream on Nov. 12, which is Disney+ Day.

Simu Liu stars in the movie as Shang-Chi, a young Super Hero whose journey of self-discovery unfolds in this never-before-seen origin story.

The movie also features Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy, and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng.

Simu recently opened up about about one tweet he tagged Marvel in that may have helped him score the role. Check it out!
