On being unable to perform amid the pandemic: “I feel extremely trapped when I don’t perform on stage, because it’s part of my identity. I never really pictured what it would be like to not be able to do it…I lost a lot of my adrenaline.”
On living in the moment: “I’ve given up on trying to find a steady sort of base of home, because I travel so much. I’m very much in the moment. I’m like: ‘Let’s do this, and let’s do that.’”
On her relationship with Taika Waititi: “I’m in a great place in my life, that’s all I’m going to say about that. I just think, respectfully, privacy is important. Yeah…I learned a lot in my 20s.”
Over the weekend, the couple made an appearance together at a big event.
