The two were joined by NYC Schools Chancellor Meisha Porter during their visit to promote early literary.
Meghan was seen reading her children’s book The Bench to a group of second grade students outside. Prince Harry sat with the kids on the ground.
“I wrote this when we just had our little boy, and I haven’t read it to any other kids but you!” she said, via People.
Meghan dedicated her book to “the man and the boy who make my heart go pump-pump,” and she said that phrase came from teaching 2-year-old son Archie how the heart works.
“The idea of representation — ‘That looks like me!’ — I wanted everyone to be included in this book,” she also said.
The kids adorably drew the royals pink paper hearts with their own stories, and Meghan went through them and chatted with each student. She also hugged them, and some girls even teared up.
The two made their first official public outing in months earlier in the week – see the photos!
