Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco have been the subject of many rumors about their marriage after they have spent months apart.
If you don’t know, the 43-year-old royal and former Olympic swimmer has been living in South Africa since mid-May and Albert, 63, just returned from a trip to visit her.
Fans are wondering if their marriage might be on the rocks due to this extended time apart. Prince Albert is now responding to all the talk.

“She didn’t leave Monaco in a huff!” the Prince told People. “She didn’t leave because she was mad at me or at anybody else. She was going down to South Africa to reassess her Foundation’s work down there and to take a little time off with her brother and some friends.”
He continued, “It was only supposed to be a weeklong, 10-day maximum stay, and [she is still there now] because she had this infection all these medical complications arose.”
Charlene has been in South Africa because of a “series of medical procedures intended to correct a previous ENT surgery and combat the infection [she] developed after the procedure,” according to People.
Albert‘s trip to South Africa marked the first time that Charlene has been able to see her six-year-old twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, since June. Back in July, Charlene opened up about being away from her family.
