Jake Gyllenhaal prepares to answer a question during a special screening of his new movie, The Guilty, held at Harmony Gold on Saturday night (September 18) in Los Angeles.
In the middle of discussing his new film, which will premiere on Netflix on September 24, the 40-year-old actor was asked about his opinion in the whole bathing debate once again.
Jake was previously asked about his own hygiene situation after the subject went viral, and he had told Vanity Fair that he found “bathing to be less necessary, at times.”
Now, Jake fully admits he was being very sarcastic about it all.
“I don’t know what it was, it was an answer to a question where I was being sarcastic and ironic and it has followed me around,” he shared. “Unfortunately I showered before I came here so I’m sorry about that.”
