Gwendoline Christie has landed what seems to be an amazing role!
The 42-year-old actress will be joining the cast of Netflix’s upcoming series Wednesday, following the school-age years of Wednesday Addams.

Gwendoline will portray Larissa Weems, the principal of the school Wednesday attends. Bad luck for Wednesday: she has some beef with Wednesday’s mom Morticia from their youth, EW reports!
The cast includes Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, with Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones guest-starring as her parents, Gomez and Morticia. Tim Burton will direct all 8 episodes of the show.
Here’s a synopsis, according to THR: Wednesday is described as a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
