Benedict Cumberbatch is the latest Marvel star to weigh in on Scarlett Johansson‘s lawsuit against Disney.
In case you missed the previous news, Scarlett is suing Disney over a financial dispute with the release of her standalone movie Black Widow. Scarlett claims that she’s missing out on profits that she would have earned if the movie was given an exclusive theatrical release, instead of the hybrid release it was given in both theaters and Disney+ Premier Access.

“It’s sad what’s going on between the lawyers,” Benedict told THR about the situation. “Just the verbiage and the accusations of, ‘Put it in a global pandemic context.’ The whole thing’s just a bit of a mess.”
Four other celebrities have reacted to Scarlett‘s lawsuit, including 2 other Marvel stars.
Benedict portrays Doctor Strange in the MCU and will next be seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home, in theaters in December.
