It has been a whirlwind week of Jeopardy news, mainly, after learning that Mike Richards, the choice to succeed Alex Trebek, has stepped away from the position.
Now, Ryan Reynolds is telling a story about his own life that he actually is comparing to the situation of LeVar Burton, the fan favorite choice to get the gig. If you don’t know, LeVar has been the fan favorite choice all along, but Jeopardy execs gave the gig to Richards.
Ryan is telling a story about his life from 2013 to 2015 and his tweet is going viral.

“Pretty consistently from 2013 to 2015 Deadpool would explode on Twitter with fans wanting me to play him. It was awkward because I agreed with them but the studio didn’t see it. Ultimately the fans won and the rest is glorious history. I’m forever grateful,” Ryan posted on Twitter. He then added, “Hi @levarburton.”
It’s pretty clear Ryan is throwing his support behind LeVar, and also signaling that fans can make these kinds of choices happen!
LeVar responded to Ryan‘s tweet, and you can see the sweet exchange below.
