Lorde is revealing her feelings about fame and fortune.
The 24-year-old superstar revealed her true thoughts about stardom, as well as her sales, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

On Friday (August 20), Lorde will release an eco-friendly music box for her record containing collectibles and a digital download of her record, but not the actual CD itself. The box won’t count towards the Billboard charts.

In addition, WSJ pointed out that Lorde is “limiting her use of social media and disappearing for long stretches between albums to be with family and friends. She updates fans via a newsletter and doesn’t worry about being forgotten in today’s fast-moving music business.”
Lorde said in response to her anti-commercial moves and elusiveness that she has “zero anxiety about it.”
“But I’m sure there is someone with a spreadsheet somewhere, who can point to the ways in which I’m making less money,” she continued.
“I have more money than I could ever spend in my life. I own a home. I own some lovely rugs and great furniture and can buy whatever I want at the grocery store. Like, we’re good on money.”
