Kacey Musgraves dropped so many song teasers on her Instagram this weekend and fans have been analyzing the lyrics.

The 33-year-old Grammy-winning country singer is getting ready to drop her new album and it seems she will be singing about her divorce from Ruston Kelly.

The former couple announced in July 2020 that they were splitting after two years of marriage.

Kacey sings in her new song, “Let me set the scene / Two lovers ripped right at the seams / They woke up from the perfect dream / And then the darkness came / I signed the papers yesterday / You came and took your things away / Moved out of the home we made / And gave you back your name.”

Also in the song, she sings, “What have we done? / Did we fly too high? / Just to get burned by the sun? / No one’s to blame / ‘Cause we called all the angels to save us / Called them by name / But I guess they got lost.”

Fan think these might be the lyrics to a song called “Star-Crossed Lovers,” which Kacey has previously teased.

Kacey has a rumored new boyfriend who she was spotted with back in June.
