Billy Eichner is looking back at his conversation with Colton Underwood on The Bachelor.
In case you forgot, when Colton came out as gay back in April, a clip of Billy‘s appearance on the The Bachelor quickly began going viral.
In the video, the comedian showed up to share some advice with Colton but inadvertently foreshadowed his coming out when he made a joke about him being the “first gay Bachelor.”
The actor spoke with Us Weekly about the clip and shared that his thoughts on Colton‘s coming out.

“I don’t really know Colton well … [but] the day he came out, you know, I tweeted my support for him,” the actor said, adding that his own journey with his sexuality has been “very different.”
“I truly had no idea he was gay when I shot The Bachelor,” he continued. “I don’t really watch The Bachelor… I never suspected he was gay, but you know, I’m happy for him. Everyone is on their own journey when it comes to coming out.”
He went on to add that he’s rooting for the Bachelor alum as “he continues to evolve” into “a happy gay person.”
Colton is currently working on a docu-series with Netflix that will follow his experience coming out.
He will be working with Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy on the project, who recently revealed that the show will touch on the legal drama between Colton and his ex Cassie Randolph. Find out more…
