Prince Harry is working on his own memoir, according to reports via AP.
The 36-year-old Duke of Sussex is working with Random House Publishing House on what is described as an “intimate and heartfelt memoir.”
“Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him,” Random House revealed in a press release at the start of the week.
It adds that the memoir will cover “his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father, Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous, and uplifting human story.”
The memoir is expected to be out in 2022, and Prince Harry will be donating proceeds to charity.
Harry also shared a statement about why he was penning the book.
In a statement, Harry—who will be donating proceeds to charity—says he has written the book “not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.”
