Jeff Bezos went to space!
The 57-year-old Amazon founder, who is the richest man in the world, successfully blasted off on the Blue Origin space flight at 9:12 a.m. ET on the New Shepard craft from Launch Site One in Texas.
The flight lasted approximately 11 minutes.

His brother Mark Bezos, pilot Wally Funk, and 18-year-old Oliver Daemen, the youngest-ever person to go to space, were all on board.
The shuttle reached a suborbital height before separating, allowing them to be briefly weightless before coming down in their capsule under parachutes for a solid ground landing.
Richard Branson took off a week before with Virgin Galactic.
Jeff Bezos responded to critics saying he shouldn’t use his money to go to space.
