Sutton Foster is speaking out about the allegations against Broadway producer Scott Rudin, who was formerly producing her upcoming musical The Music Man.
The 46-year-old actress was asked if she would have left the musical if he was still involved. Rudin did announce he was stepping away from the show.

“Obviously, we were dealing with a situation and navigating a very difficult situation, so there were a lot of conversations that were being had,” Sutton told Variety when asked if she considered leaving the musical. “All that I can say is that was definitely part of the conversation. I can say that it was definitely part of the conversation, but it was never a threat — it was always just part of discussions of what I felt comfortable with and what I wanted to be involved with.”
Hugh Jackman is also set to star in the show, which will open in February 2022.
