There has been a casting announcement for the fifth season of The Crown!
Jonny Lee Miller has joined the cast for the upcoming season, which will begin shooting next month with a complete cast refresh.
The 48-year-old actor is best known for his role as Sherlock Holmes in the CBS crime drama Elementary and his breakout performance as Simon “Sick Boy” Williamson in the 1996 movie Trainspotting.

On The Crown, Jonny will be playing the role of former Prime Minister John Major.
Major began his tenure as the PM in November 1990 and he served until May 1997. He was preceded in office by Margaret Thatcher, who was played by Gillian Anderson in season four of The Crown.
Imelda Staunton is taking over as Queen Elizabeth in season five.
