Glass Animals' Dave Bayley Talks About the Interesting Thing the Band Did During the Pandemic - Listen Now

Dave Bayley, the frontman of the band Glass Animals, is opening up about the super cool thing that the group did for fans during the pandemic.

The British electronic/pop band, best known for their song “Heat Waves” off the recent Dreamland album, appeared on the latest episode of the Spout podcast.

Since they weren’t able to tour during the pandemic, the guys put a lot of the stems for their songs online so that people could remix them.

“I guess we knew we’re going to be missing touring and touring is, like, that’s how you go see people, and you interact, and you play music, and they sing it back, and there’s like a back and forth and I just felt like we were missing that. So, I thought an interesting way of doing it was just to put the music on the internet in its rawest form and all the stems, all the parts, and people can remix it; and we also put the artwork, photoshop files, and basically everything we’ve ever done on our website,” Dave said.

He added, “It’s been amazing seeing what people came back with. People came out with the most amazing remixes and some people we never thought would like ever even listened to our music remixed it and stuff like that.”
