Just after Oscar night a few weekends ago, it was revealed that Leonardo DiCaprio had his eye to remake one of the winning films, Another Round.
The Danish film picked up the Best International Feature Film award and director Thomas Vinterberg had already addressed why he was okay with Leo‘s Appian Way giving the film a look.
Now, star Mads Mikkelsen is speaking out about the potential remake and if he’d be part of it.

Speaking with IndieWire about his latest film, Mads opened up about Another Round and why he won’t be part of it, if it does get made.
“I’m glad not to be part of it,” he shared with the site over his Zoom interview. “This is what we did.”
Mads continued, saying, “Unlike theater, where you can do it one year and do it again a couple years later, the little moments we do in films are happening right here and now — something interesting your fellow actor brings on set that day. I would probably want to change these scenes again. It can never happen.”
“It’s a tricky thing to replay the same character. It’s better off in someone else’s hands.”
Another Round involves “four teacher pals in midlife crisis who decide to experiment with raising their blood alcohol levels as a way to make life more interesting. While they initially are exacting about their levels, things progressively get out of hand for some of them.”
