Jennifer Garner and Jill Biden are following the new CDC guidelines and they went mask-free at a public event for the first time since the start of the pandemic!
The actress and the First Lady of the United States teamed up for a trip to Capital High School on Thursday (May 13) in Charleston, West Virginia.
Jennifer and Jill were there to encourage teens at the school to get vaccinated.
“Vaccinated friends and family are able to take off their masks,” Jill said (via The Hill). “As of yesterday, everyone 12 and over can now get to the vaccine. And that’s making our gatherings with our family and our friends safer.”
The two stars spoke for an audience of about 50 socially distanced audience members.
“We are thrilled to just be getting back to normal. It’s so exciting,” Jennifer said. “I can’t believe I’m standing here without a mask on, looking at mask-less faces. And we owe that to President Biden and we owe that in large part to Gov. [Jim] Justice.”
For those who didn’t know, Jennifer grew up in Charleston!
