Lady Gaga is reacting to her fans making her album ARTPOP a hit again, over seven years after it was originally released.
If you look at the iTunes charts right now, you’ll see that the album is currently sitting at No. 3 and a petition for Gaga to release the album’s B-sides has already been signed over 40,000 times.
Gaga reacted to both the chart gains and the petition in tweets posted in the early hours of Tuesday morning (April 13).

“The petition to #buyARTPOPoniTunes for a volume II has inspired such a tremendous warmth in my heart. Making this album was like heart surgery, I was desperate, in pain, and poured my heart into electronic music that slammed harder than any drug I could find,” Gaga said in her first tweet.
In a second post she said, “I fell apart after I released this album. Thank you for celebrating something that once felt like destruction. We always believed it was ahead of its time. Years later turns out, sometimes, artists know. And so do little monsters. Paws up.”
Gaga has previously hinted that a second version of the album, tentatively titled Act II, was in the works. Even though the album was successful, with over 2.5 million copies sold, many fans feel its her most underrated work and has never received the acclaim it deserves.
Last week, Gaga was spotted filming scenes for her next movie and her co-star was unrecognizable in his costume.
