Tiger Woods is back home.
The 45-year-old pro golfer took to Twitter on Tuesday (March 16) to announce that he is “recovering at home” after undergoing surgery following a car crash.
“Happy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery,” Tiger started. “I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks.”
Late last month, Tiger was involved in a single-vehicle accident near the communities of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes in Los Angeles. According to officials, Tiger was traveling downhill in his car when it struck a sign in the center divider, cut through a tree and landed in the brush alongside the road with “major damage.”
After being rescued by first responders, Tiger was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery on his leg and ankle.
Also in his message, Tiger thanked all the medical professionals that took care of him while he was in the hospital.
“Thank you to the incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses, and staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center,” Tiger wrote. “You have all taken such great care of me and I cannot thank you enough.”
Tiger concluded, “I will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day. – Tiger.”
We’re glad to hear Tiger Woods is recovering well!
