Adam Levine Said 'There Are No Bands Anymore' & Lots of People Aren't Happy

Adam Levine made some comments this week that has upset a lot of people.

The 41-year-old singer and former The Voice coach looked back at the launch of his band Maroon 5 in a new interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.

“It’s funny, when the first Maroon 5 album came out, there were still other bands,” Adam said. “I feel like there aren’t any bands anymore, you know?”

He added, “That’s the thing that makes me kind of sad. There’s no bands anymore, and I feel like they’re a dying breed.”

Adam then clarified, “I mean, there still are plenty of bands, and maybe they’re not in the limelight quite as much, or in the pop limelight, but I wish there could be more of those around.”

Just some of the prominent bands these days include Haim, Coldplay, The Strokes, Bon Iver, Vampire Weekend, and The 1975, who were all Grammy-nominated either last year or this year.
