Chris Pratt‘s rep is setting the record straight.
On Wednesday (February 3), “#RIPChrisPratt” started trending after tweets allegedly written by the 41-year-old actor started circulating on Twitter.
People were trying to “cancel” Chris after screenshots of offensive, racists, and misogynistic messages that he had allegedly tweeted back in 2012 and 2013 surfaced.
However, a spokesperson for Chris told TMZ that the tweets are all fake.
“Chris never tweeted the offensive things that are being circulated today,” Chris‘ rep shared. “Any suggestion that he did is not only totally false but also defamatory.”
A senior exec for Twitter also addressed the screenshots, saying they “strongly believe these [tweets] to be fake.”
However, Chris‘ rep did confirm that one tweet is real.
Back in December 2012, Chris tweeted about the Miss Universe pageant, writing, “#MissUniverse In a way they all look like Miss Hungry.”
If you missed it, Chris Pratt was spotted in costume on set of his upcoming Marvel movie earlier this week!
