David Hogg is speaking out following a video going viral that shows newly elected Georgia representative Marjorie Taylor Greene harassing him at an event.
In the video, Marjorie is overheard and seen making false claims relating to gun rights and how he was able to meet with senators while David was heading to a meeting in 2019.
“He’s a coward,” she yells at the end of the video, pointing out that he and his Parkland friends are funded by billionaire philanthropist George Soros. “He can’t say one word because he can’t defend his stance.”
It’s so frustrating that we have people like @mtgreenee in Congress that would rather spread conspiracies about mass shootings than confront the reality people are dying everyday from gun violence.
I just want to do the work and help end gun violence.

In a written statement to CNN, Marjorie says that she was in Washington at that time as well “going from office to office in the Senate to oppose the radical gun control agenda that David Hogg was pushing.”
“It’s so frustrating that we have people like @mtgreenee in Congress that would rather spread conspiracies about mass shootings than confront the reality people are dying everyday from gun violence,” David posted on Twitter as the video gained traction this week. “I just want to do the work and help end gun violence.”
Later on, David released an additional statement on the matter.
1/2 As we fight for peace we also face massive amounts of death threats and armed intimidation simply for not wanting our friends to die anymore.
This is not the country we should be and it’s not the country we have to be.

Following the video’s exposure, a few members of Congress are seeking to remove Marjorie from the House.
David was one of the Parkland massacre survivors who organized the March For Our Lives event, which supports of common-sense gun control.
