When Weekend Today hosts Richard Wilkinson and Rebecca Maddern teased a mystery guest for Saturday's show, they had no idea that Chris Hemsworth would be popping in to say hello.
As Lauren Phillips began to read the weather bulletin from Scone, NSW, the Thor star sauntered in to frame to give her a hand reading out the forecast.
Hemsworth revealed that although he lives in Byron Bay, he's currently in Scone visiting Aussie Ark, a wildlife conservation program that helps protect threatened and endangered native species.
"They're doing amazing conservation work protecting Australia's ecosystems", he told Phillips.
Hemsworth then spoke about how nice it is to be back home in Australia –– this year is the longest time he's spent in the country in years. "I've been here all year," he said. "It's been fantastic, I've been with the family, laying low."

"Oh my goodness me," exclaimed Rebecca Maddern. "Dickie, you're the one who usually comes up with the big names on this show...you have been trumped."
"Did that just happen?? He just read the weather!!," she continued.
"They said 2020 was bad. It's not. It's good!"
