Catherine O’Hara is a winner!
The 66-year-old actress won the award for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy for her role as Moira Rose in Schitt’s Creek at the 2021 Golden Globes on Sunday (February 28).
In her acceptance speech, Catherine thanked Schitt’s Creek co-creators and father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, who “created an inspiring, funny, beautiful family love story in which they let me wear 100 wigs and speak like an alien.”
She continued, “From the first read-through where no one had to fake a laugh, to the final day on set where everyone except me had to hold back the tears, it’s an experience I will forever hold dear to my heart, and I’m proud to be part of their family.”
Presenting the award to Catherine was Christian Slater, who looked handsome in a teal suit for the event.
Schitt’s Creek is also nominated tonight for for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
The 2021 Golden Globes, hosted bi-coastally by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, are airing RIGHT NOW on NBC!
